Neeti, the last village bordering China in Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, will be connected with a double lane road this year. These days the work of widening the road is in the final stages. Hill cutting and asphalting work on 17.35 km stretch is being done at some places from Malari to Neeti village.

Officials of the Oasis company involved in the construction have claimed to complete the double lane work of the road by October this year.

By converting this road into a double lane, the movement of local villagers as well as the vehicles of the army and ITBP on the China border will become easier. The widening work of 17.35 km road from Malari to Niti village was started in the year 2021 by Oasis Company, the executive body of Border Roads Organization (BRO).
