All India IPSC Girls Tennis Tournament Concludes at SelaQui International school
Dehradun: The All India IPSC Girls Tennis Tournament 2026 concluded on a high note at SelaQui International School on Friday. Held from June 1 to 5, the prestigious event brought together talented young tennis players from 13 leading schools across the country, showcasing exceptional skill and sportsmanship across various age categories.
In the team events, DPS Mathura Road defeated Daly College, Indore 2-1 to win the Under-14 title. YPS Mohali emerged champions in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories, overcoming RKKGPS Jodhpur and Daly College, Indore respectively by identical 2-1 margins. Genesis Noida secured third place in Under-14, while WGS Dehradun and MOD Barakhamba finished third in the Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
The individual events also witnessed impressive performances. Sanvi of DPS Mathura Road clinched the Under-14 title, while Sahej of YPS Mohali dominated the Under-17 final to secure the championship. In the Under-19 category, Reet of Daly College, Indore emerged victorious. Ayana (YPS Mohali), Japman (YPS Patiala), and Tamanna (YPS Mohali) secured third-place finishes in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories respectively.
The closing ceremony was attended by School Chairman Om Pathak, who presented awards to the winners and praised the participants for their dedication, determination, and exemplary sportsmanship. He emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing the next generation of national and international sporting talent.
Headmaster Dr. Dilip Kumar Panda said the tournament provided a valuable platform for young tennis players to showcase their abilities and highlighted the depth of talent present in Indian schools. Head of Sports Kanwaljeet Singh Dhaliwal described the competition as one of the most exciting and competitive editions to date, commending the players, coaches, officials, and organizers for making the event a grand success.
