Dehradun: As RE-NEET 2026 is scheduled to be held on June 21, many candidates are experiencing stress and anxiety due to the pressure of appearing for the examination again after months of preparation.

Ashish Kumar Porwal said that feeling nervous before a competitive exam is normal, especially after extensive preparation. However, unmanaged stress can negatively affect concentration, memory, and decision-making during the exam.

He emphasized that students should focus not only on academic preparation but also on mental and psychological readiness. To build confidence, concentration, and stamina, he advised candidates to take mock tests during the actual exam hours, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Porwal also highlighted the importance of maintaining a balanced routine, including seven to eight hours of sleep, regular physical activity, meditation, and deep-breathing exercises to manage anxiety and stay focused.

He further encouraged students to spend time with their families, particularly during meals, as emotional support can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being ahead of the examination.
