Dehradun District Magistrate Sonika alongwith Senior Superintendent of Police Dalip Singh Kunwar reviewed instances of encroachments on government land in the district and instructed various departments to remove encroached regularly.

The District Magistrate presided a meeting of government departments officials from Public Works, Municipal Corporation, Irrigation, Electricity and directed to everyone to go on ground inspection of the land owned their respective departments. “If there are encroachments, mark them and take immediate action to make the land encroachment free,” Sonika, District Collector, Dehradun said.

The District Magistrate also directed all the Sub-District Officers to mark encroachments on government land in their respective areas and send notices to the concerned before demolition drive on encroachments. “Encroachments shall be monitored, removed regularly and action taken reports on daily basis shall be submitted promptly,” the District Magistrate said.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dalip Singh Kunwar, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Ramjisharan Sharma, Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. SK Baranwal, City Magistrate Kusham Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval, Superintendent of Police Rural Kamlesh Upadhyay, Police Officer Neeraj Semwal and concerned officers were present in the meeting.
