In the higher reaches, specifically areas situated above 3,500 meters, a light spell of snow is anticipated from March 21st to 24th. This prediction is attributed to a Western disturbance influencing the region during this period. Residents and travelers in these elevated areas should take precautions and expect some disruption to travel plans due to the wintry conditions.

Dry Spell in Remaining Areas:
Contrastingly, the IMD forecasts a dry spell in the rest of Uttarakhand for the next three days. This suggests that regions outside the high-altitude zones will experience relatively stable and dry weather conditions during the mentioned timeframe.

Temperature Trends:
Across the state, temperature variations have been observed. In the plains, maximum temperatures have ranged from normal to above normal, contributing to warmer conditions. However, in hilly areas, maximum temperatures have trended below normal, indicating cooler weather patterns.

Recorded Temperatures:
On a specific note, the temperature readings from the recent past reflect this diversity. For instance, the maximum temperature of 31.0 °C was recorded at Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district, underscoring the warmer climate prevailing in the plains. Conversely, in New Tehri, a minimum temperature of 6.9 °C was recorded, showcasing the cooler conditions experienced in hilly terrain.
